SPRINGDALE, Arkansas– May 16, 2016 - WoodRidge Behavioral Care, a provider of psychiatric behavioral health treatment, announced the expansion of their services into Northwest Arkansas. A 28-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility, formerly operated by Ozark Guidance Center, will become WoodRidge of the Ozarks. Renovations to the site at 2466 S. 48th Street in Springdale, Arkansas, will be completed this summer with expectations of opening the facility for children and adolescents in the fall of 2016. The facility will offer psychiatric residential treatment for both boys and girls, ages 6 to 17. WoodRidge of the Ozarks will be accredited by the Joint Commission, licensed to operate by the State of Arkansas, and have a fully certified education program in coordination with the Arkansas Special Education Department.

Phillip L. Bendall, MHA, an existing WoodRidge executive and leader with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, will serve as the Executive Director and point person for startup activities. The facility will require 60 full time and part time employees when it is fully operational.

President and CEO of WoodRidge Behavioral Care, Neil Campbell, stated, “We currently have two other successful facilities in eastern Arkansas and have been operating in the state for many years. We are an experienced provider of PRTF services and are pleased to now be able to offer our services to Northwest Arkansas as well.”

Cynthia Curatalo, CEO for Ozark Guidance said, “ WoodRidge of the Ozarks and Ozark Guidance offer our children and families an effective continuum of care serving children where they live by providing them the right services at the right time in the least disruptive manner. We are excited that more of our youth and families will be served closer to where they actually live in NWA by a residential treatment program of WoodRidge’s established reputation and expertise.”

WoodRidge Behavioral Care is headquartered near Nashville, Tennessee, and operates psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities and group homes in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri.
